Taste and See
"Taste and see that the Lord is good." -Psalm 34:8
For me photography began as a question, "what do I see?"
For much of my life I saw all the negative: the depressed, the selfish, the lonely, the poor, and the destructive...I had an expectation of chaos, failure and sadness.
Then one day, I had a life-changing encounter with the heart of God, and it forever changed the way I perceive the world around me.
From that place I began to see and capture the light in this world...the proof of God working, and the joy that is found in everything from food, to simple streets filled with people, to walking through the woods. Everything sings of his heart and goodness. This really is my life journal and how I have discovered the voice of God in all that he has created.
I believe there is beauty in everything. Life is not just about what we see, but how we perceive it. Light, dark, and color. Such simple elements that can capture the essence of a moment and let the taste, feeling, and even sound of a place sink into your heart and leave a permanent footprint of time and space.
